A girl, some ribbon,
and a whole lot of heart

How it started

I started making hair accessories because I couldn't find anything that felt right. Everything was either too cheap and flimsy, or too expensive and generic. I wanted something in between — something that felt handmade, because it was.

My name is Mia. I grew up in Yiwu — a city famous for accessories — but what I make is different. Not mass-produced. Not fast. Each piece is made by hand, in my studio, with materials I've chosen carefully from the markets I've spent years learning to navigate.

The process

Every piece begins with a sketch on a Sunday morning. Then I go to the fabric market — sometimes I know exactly what I want, sometimes I find something unexpected and change the whole design. Materials are chosen slowly: the weight of the ribbon, the sheen of the organza, the way a fabric rose petal holds its shape.

Then it's made by hand, one careful knot at a time. No machines. No shortcuts. It takes longer — that's the point.

Why it matters

I believe that the things you put on your body should feel like an extension of who you are. Small, considered, made with love. A bow clip shouldn't be something you buy and forget. It should be something that makes you smile when you put it on.

That's what I'm trying to make. One piece at a time.
